OUR HISTORY

FishDaddy was founded in Minnesota in 2017 by a lifelong angler with a simple goal: find better ways to help fish notice, follow, and commit to a presentation.

Early product development focused on underwater illumination and the way fish respond to light. That research led to extensive testing with LEDs, glow, and other visibility technologies, eventually resulting in FishDaddy’s early Micro LED products and the Dirty Bomb lineup.

Since then, FishDaddy has continued to refine its designs and expand into new presentations for both ice fishing and open water. The focus has remained the same: combine proven fishing techniques with thoughtful technology to create products that give anglers more ways to trigger the bite.

Fishing has always been about more than the catch. From the beginning, FishDaddy has also been rooted in sharing the experience—teaching kids, helping other anglers, and passing along the knowledge that keeps people connected to the water.

We’re constantly exploring new ideas in illumination, glow, UV visibility, scent, action, terminal tackle, and lure design—then putting those ideas into presentations that make sense on the water.

Some products improve on proven techniques. Others introduce a completely different way to approach a presentation. Either way, the focus stays the same: create fishing tackle that is useful, effective, and designed to help anglers catch more fish.
